Health Advocacy
The Boyle McCauley Health Centre has continued to demonstrate its commitment to supporting inner city healing and wellness by creating this position on its health care team.
The health advocates act as a resource for both the staff and clients at the centre in regards to housing, addictions, financial, and legal issues, as well as counseling services, food and clothing issues, applications for assistance, and more. The advocates assist clients beyond immediate medical need, in whatever way possible, including advocating on behalf of clients with outside agencies. The health advocates work out of the Boyle McCauley Health Centre, and are available Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. How to access the health advocate: The health advocate is available to all clients of the Boyle McCauley Health Centre, and people in the inner city area. |
